We’re proud to serve our community in Ada and Shawnee. Many of our team members grew up here, and our clients feel like family. We understand the needs of our neighbors and value the lasting relationships we build with every client and patient.
Our Story
Drs. Nathan and Melissa Metz share a lifelong passion for animals. Both spent their younger years working and shadowing in veterinary clinics before earning their veterinary degrees at Ross University in St. Kitts, where they met and later married. After completing their clinical training in Texas, they returned to Melissa’s hometown area of Wapakoneta, Ohio.
They purchased what is now Metz Petz of Ada in 2007 (formerly Countryside Clinic with the late Dr. Houx) and later expanded by acquiring Metz Petz of Shawnee in 2010 (formerly Elmview Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Brenneman).
Our mission has always been to provide compassionate, high-quality care while treating every pet as part of our family.
